This is all currently on hold. A lot of life stuff going on that requires my attention but I will return to it all.

Woodsalt

Woodsalt was a 3D visual novel about a young man's experiences after being woken up from stasis to find himself in a city under a biodome on a new planet after Earth was made uninhabitable. Very quickly he experiences visions and hallucinations that seem to predict potential futures as civil unrest in the city grows with the return to Earth getting ever closer.

It was initially released in 2021 for Steam and Nintendo Switch, however due to poor sales and marketing I am working on a new version which adds more content and addresses the major criticisms from fans and reviews.

Be Kind

Be Kind is a survival horror adventure game set in an old video rental store in the 90's following a man who has just re-opened after the last owner went missing. As the days continue, he finds tapes with odd and cryptic messages that lead him closer to discovering the untimely demise of his predecessor. The game is designed to be played in one sitting, lasting around 60 and 90 minutes and taking heavy inspiration from off-kilter media such as Twin Peaks and Donnie Darko.

I'm currently in the fun stages of pre-production with concept art being made for the 3D character models while I work away on the environments and programming.

Lost Brother, I am Cold

Lost Brother, I am Cold is an adventure game following an un-named explorer as he ascends a mountain searching for his brother who disappeared months ago and is presumed to be dead. Like Be Kind the game is designed to be completed in one sitting, lasting between 60 and 90 minutes with the player taking control of the explorer as he uncovers the fates of the lost climbing party and the dark secret of the mountain.

I'd like to target every console including mobile, if possible, but the focus is always on the quality of the game itself and not routes to market. The work done with Be Kind will have a lot of the tools set up for this, so while it's a little larger in scope (a mountain as opposed to a video rental store) that should be made up for by less pre-production time.

Gaslight Coma Black Dog Trauma

Gaslight Coma Black Dog Trauma is to be an adventure survival horror where a man named James finds himself in his hometown with no real memory of how he got there or why. The town is off though, an uncanny version of itself which forces the man to confront who he is, what he's become and what he will be in the face of a growing danger and an unstoppable apocalyptic event that stalks James at every turn. Think a British version of Silent Hill and a little longer at around 3 hours.

The synopsis is written and concept art has begun but I'm keeping this one on the backburner for now as the scale is a little large for me to take on myself without a touch more experience. There is a lot more animation involved with some of the creatures and scenes that happen with moments of combat which really need to be nailed down. It isn't a case of "shelve this until I can be bothered" but instead that I want to be able to do it service.

It isn't particularly complicated, just grander and lord knows I'm only one man.
